RESTORATION

CHANDELIERS AND MIRRORS

The restoration of chandeliers and mirrors is a complex operation that requires many steps and, above all, a lot of know-how.

The confidentiality that protects interventions in private homes prevents us from naming all the works done, but we are proud to count among our "patients" illustrious chandeliers, like those of Hanau Castle (Germany), damaged by a devastating fire, or those of the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and the magnificent wall lamps of the Gran Teatro la Fenice in Venice.

We are able to deal with both of the glass part, and the metal support. In our laboratory, we arrange and clean up the iron frames, rebuild pipes and metal plates, we restore the electrical installation according to current regulations.

As far as the glass is concerned, we follow the theory of the recovery

and the reuse of existing parts.

Depending on the age of the "patient", we try to repair the damaged glass with special glues or building ad-hoc metal joints. If not possible, we seek the missing pieces in our warehouse and, if there is just nothing else to do, redo them from scratch, trying to imitate as closely as possible the color and transparency of the original piece.

The result, we guarantee, will perfectly complement the original.

Over the years, we have collected and cataloged countless spare parts of all shapes and sizes, even from ancient ages.

In our repository, we keep drops, plates, octagons, anchors, flowers, leaves, pearls ... all you need to restore your chandelier or your mirror. If you don’t need our hands, but just some missing pieces, we can supply the spare parts as well as the most suitable complements for your needs.
